Seth PenlandThe ESF board is pleased to welcome a new board member to its ranks: Seth Penland, father of four and golfer extraordinaire.

Seth was introduced to ESF through friends who were former board members, and it wasn’t long before he wanted to be part of the ESF story. “My friends explained the importance of ESF and its mission,” Seth told us. “After attending several board meetings, I saw for myself the passion everyone had to provide an exceptional academic experience for our kids through a number of valuable enrichment programs.”

The quality of the events and caliber of volunteers especially impressed Seth. The board comprises a diverse group of individuals, but one thing they all have in common is dedication towards the success of the organization and the district. Part of Seth’s mission is to build on that quality and dedication. “The golf tournament is excellent, and my goal is to attract more corporate sponsors and individual donors through this event, the funds of which will further ESF’s mission,” Seth commented. He also aims to get more families involved through board membership or volunteering—the heart of ESF.

Seth and his family moved to Granite Bay about two years ago, for the top-rated schools, variety of communities available, and the proximity to Lake Tahoe (his family’s happy place). He and his wife have three boys and one girl, ages 12, 10, 7, and 4. When Seth isn’t making an impact in his community through ESF, he can be found enjoying his other passion, golf.

Join us in welcoming Seth to our community and our organization!
